DataPro dips 10% after bid talk fizzles

"There were rumours around that a large telecommunications company could have been sniffing around looking at Datapro," said Andrew Todd, a trader at Nedbank Group's BoE stockbrokers. "Now that there is no news flow, sellers have entered the market."

Shares of DataPro, which is in the process of changing its name to Vox Telekom, fell 10 percent to close at R2.95 yesterday.

Technology newswire MyADSL reported last week that Vodacom was in talks with Datapro, Storm and Verizon Business. Vodacom established a new company, Vodacom Converged Services, in a bid to enter the internet service provider market.
