Neotel SME pricing revealed
Neotel recently announced that it has partnered with Samsung to bring small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) a PABX-based voice solution. The new NeoFlex Voice service promises to reduce costs and improve the quality of service to SMEs.
The NeoFlex Voice service consists of a CDMA 1X device which connects to all new and most existing PBX systems, and can be used for both making and receiving calls. Voice quality is guaranteed as this runs on Neotel’s existing CDMA network.
Samsung Networking will be responsible for providing and maintaining the terminal equipment. Samsung guarantees a maximum turnaround time of 24 hours on any problems with this service.
There is also an option to sign a service level agreement (SLA) with Samsung Networking at an additional cost of R20.83, which will guarantee a maximum problem-resolution time of eight hours.
Cost
The NeoFlex Voice service is essentially a Telkom fixed line replacement service for small businesses and is priced more aggressively in terms of call rates.
The basic monthly charge for the voice service is R99 a month while the equipment from Samsung will cost R74.10 a month. This means that the total cost for a single voice line is R173.10 per month.
Telkom currently charges R165 for a business phone line, somewhat cheaper than Neotel’s R173.10.
Neotel’s voice call pricing is however cheaper than Telkom’s pricing for all peak rates – including to Telkom numbers. Neotel also points out that the service installations charge of R350 is cheaper than Telkom’s line installation of R425.50.
The NeoFlex Voice service is available in all areas in Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban where Neotel has coverage.
