iBurst sets the record straight
iBurst has come under fire for its 40 MB ‘broadband offering’, with some critics accusing the company of trying to capitalize on unsuspecting subscribers. The company denies any such tactics.
When iBurst launched its 40 MB broadband offering many people criticized the company for selling a service which could not possibly qualify as a broadband offering. While more knowledgeable users may shy away from this service, the company is continuing to sell this product at a rapid rate due to its low barrier of entry.
The broadband provider has again come under fire, this time for apparently not cutting off the service when a subscriber reaches their 40 MB limit, but rather letting it run and then billing them for excess data usage.
iBurst however denies this accusation saying that subscribers are indeed capped when the 40MB limit is reached. The company says that subscribers are directed to the iBurst website after reaching their limit where they may purchase additional bandwidth.
iBurst further highlights that subscribers have the option of receiving daily usage notifications via e-mail, and says that the company has not received any complaints regarding this issue.
