New Telkom ADSL free entertainment packages

ADSL subscribers who take out one of Telkom’s high-end SmartHome contracts will receive a slew of free goodies.

These include an Apple TV and iPhone 4s, along with zero-rated access to “selected entertainment sites”.

Telkom’s advertising suggests the offer includes unlimited streaming from iTunes at the very least, but it has not specified which other “entertainment sites” have been selected.

The relevant web page on Telkom’s site did not have the entertainment details of the package.

Telkom said it is updating its website, which will soon contain all the information about the deals.

Telkom SmartHome unlimited summer deal

The Telkom website does list some of the features of the SmartHome Premium package, which is available for R999 per month on a 24-month contract:

• 50GB at up to 10Mbps
• Free Wi-Fi in over 5,000 Telkom Wi-Fi hotspots around the country
• SIM 1 with 2GB data
• SIM 2 with 150 mobile minutes
• Unlimited Night Surfer data
• Apple TV and Apple iPhone 4s
• Free data to selected social networking sites and selected entertainment sites
• Microsoft Office 365 for 12 months
• ADSL Wi-Fi router + 3G modem + Wi-Fi range extender
• Unlimited Anytime fixed to fixed and Telkom mobile calls

These features are also available on Telkom’s SmartHome Supreme, Infinite 100, Infinite 200, and Infinite LTE-A packages.
