New Telkom ADSL add-on with unlimited DStv online

Telkom recently launched a new ADSL add-on for entertainment sites, which forms part of its SmartHome contracts under the Unlimited Summer promotion.

Telkom Internet subscribers subsequently reported that a new column appeared in the service provider’s DSL usage tracker with the heading “TI Entertainment”.

Details about the service were initially scarce, with neither the Telkom call centre nor the website able to provide details about the add-on.

A Telkom spokesperson has now said the entertainment add-on includes unlimited iTunes streaming and unlimited access to DStv’s online services.

The iTunes streaming benefit will apply to any Apple device, including Apple TV, while the DStv services covered by the add-on include DStv BoxOffice and Catch Up.

Telkom Internet subscribers who have at least a 10GB SoftCap account can buy the TI Entertainment add-on for R99 per month.

Those who take out a SmartHome Premium (or larger) contract will have it included as part of the deal.
