4 Mbps after-hours uncapped ADSL: R399

Over the last few weeks numerous uncapped ADSL subscribers have lashed out at their ISPs for poor daytime speeds on their uncapped accounts.  This is partly due to shaping and the Fair Use Policies which are applied to local uncapped services.

Openweb has now unveiled their ‘4096k After Hours Uncapped ADSL account’ – priced at R399 per month – aimed at consumers who want good service levels during business hours but the freedom of uncapped ADSL after hours.

“This innovative account allows you to get Uncapped, Shaped access After Hours, and 10GB’s of monthly traffic during office hours meaning, as long as your within the 10GB limit during office hours, the After Hours uncapped part will work,” explains Openweb founder Keoma Wright.

Consumers are however warned that once the 10GB’s of daytime traffic is depleted the account will be hard capped and that a top-up rate of R89 per GB will apply.  Bandwidth shaping will also apply.

“There is a big demand for a normal capped package that offers full speed during the day and uncapped after hours.  It is important to note though that we are launching this product as a limited release,” says Wright.

The product is available immediately.
