Webafrica ADSL subscribers have been unable to track their usage for most of July, users with capped accounts told MyBroadband.
Their usage has not been tracked since 6 July.
The CTO of Webafrica, Alan Kirton, said a problem with their usage tracker’s database caused the problem, and that the issue has been resolved.
“There was a slowdown on our radius accounting process,” said Kirton.
“This was caused by a build-up in one of our database tables used for archiving data that was not getting cleared out fast enough.”
Kirton said they were unable to process usage as quickly as it was coming in, and the Customer Zone did not reflect the latest usage.
“We have manually cleared the problem table and are now processing the backlog as quickly as possible.”
Usage should be reflecting correctly by 15 July.
