Afrihost recently launched another ‘free GB’ promotion, offering ADSL users a free gigabyte of data – no strings attached.
Unlike previous free GB promotions from the company, the latest free GB offering has no planned end date and according to Afrihost CEO Gian Visser they have already given away 7500 free ADSL accounts.
The strategy behind the free ADSL promotion is now becoming clear. The company has recently launched its “Get the full Afrihost experience for R1” service where subscribers can get up to 9GB of data in addition to their free 1GB for R1.
The R1 promotion ends in April, after which the following prices will hold:
- 1GB free and 2GB extra data for R39
- 1GB free and 4GB extra data for R65
- 1GB free and 9GB extra data for R99
Users who paid R1 for the service and decided not to continue with the offering on a monthly basis simply have to cancel the service before 24 April without any further obligations.
This promotion essentially reduces the price of a 10GB ADSL data bundle from the current R190 to R99 per month.
Afrihost however warns that this is only a “limited special offer” and it is not available through their website.
