MWEB’s latest ADSL KPIs released
On 17 August 2006 the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) published regulations regarding the provision of Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) services.
These regulations require Telkom and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to publish on their website, on a quarterly basis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) detailing at the least: packet loss, average latency and jitter for the provisioned ADSL service.
Telkom was the only company which followed these regulations until recently, but MWEB started to publish their ADSL KPIs in mid-2010 as well.
MWEB has now released their latest ADSL KPIs, showing a significant improvement in network quality in both national and international performance.
