Best ADSL ISPs in South Africa

MyBroadband conducted its latest broadband survey recently (August 2012), revealing that Afrihost, Web Africa, Axxess, Openweb, and MWEB are the top Internet Service Providers (ISP) in South Africa.

Consumers were asked to rate various components of their ADSL ISP’s service, including its value for money, billing, support, and overall satisfaction.

The survey was completed by 16,432 people, of whom the majority were ADSL subscribers.

Three ISPs – Afrihost, Web Africa, and Axxess – received average scores over 8 out of 10. All the other prominent ISPs, excluding Telkom Internet, received average scores between 7 and 8 out of 10.

These high average ratings give a clear indication that users are happy with their ISPs, which may well be due to a very competitive environment.

The following table provides an overview of the ratings received by the various ISPs in the latest broadband survey.
