Uncapped ADSL account prices slashed
Over the last few weeks numerous Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have cut the price of their uncapped ADSL products. This followed Telkom‘s decision to upgrade ADSL speeds free of charge.
Telkom Wholesale is currently upgrading the speed of its ADSL products, with 1Mbps upgraded to 2Mbps, 2Mbps bumped up to 4Mbps, and 4Mbps lines increased to 10Mbps.
This placed pressure on ISPs to lower their uncapped ADSL prices, despite the fact that there have not been significant wholesale price cuts.
Axxess was the first ISP to announce that they will upgrade their uncapped subscribers to the higher speeds free of charge. Other providers followed suit.
In the latest development, Internet Solutions (IS) and Incredible Connection have partnered to offer consumers and small businesses uncapped ADSL services.
“Known as Connection DSL powered by IS Ignite, the offering enables Incredible Connection customers to walk into a store, buy a router, signup for uncapped Internet and walk out connected,” IS said in a press statement.
