FNB nails credit card fraudster in sting operation
First National Bank (FNB) recently conducted a sting operation where it caught and dismissed an employee involved in internal credit card fraud.
MyBroadband received information that the sting operation was conducted at Bank City last week, and that it resulted in the arrest of an FNB employee.
Details about the sting operation remains sketchy, but FNB confirmed that it did conduct an investigation into the matter.
FNB also confirmed that an employee was dismissed following the outcome of the investigation.
“The bank has zero tolerance towards illegal activity and will prosecute in every instance,” said Charlaine Albertyn, head of fraud, FNB value banking solutions.
