FNB said it is aware of intermittent connectivity issues experienced by customers using its banking channels, and is working to resolve the problem.

“This is due to a network upgrade and we are taking remedial action to resolve the issue,” said FNB.

“We hope to fully restore all services as soon as possible and will continue to provide updates.”

FNB also experienced downtime across its ATMs, online banking, and card payment channels on 25 July, along with an outage on its ADSL services.

Update: FNB said it has resolved the problems affecting its banking systems. It provided the following statement:

Following the intermittent connectivity issues experienced yesterday and earlier today, we can confirm that connectivity has been restored across all systems.

Our technicians are working to maintain ongoing stability and clients should be able to access all banking services.

We once again apologise for the inconvenience and would like to thank our customers for their patience.
