Nedbank has launched an overhauled banking app with a number of new features.
The Money app allows customers to manage accounts, make payments, and change their credit or debit card settings from their smartphone.
Nedbank Money also allows customers to make instant payments to anyone on their smartphone’s contact list, regardless of whether the recipient is a Nedbank customer.
From the Money app, customers select the “Pay” option and tap the recipient’s number in their contact list to send an instant payment.
The recipient will then receive an SMS with an authorisation code, allowing them to withdraw the money from an ATM or branch.
Nedbank Money also features an interface which monitors spending, debit orders, and transactions across all linked cards and accounts – providing customers with an overview of their finances.
Debit orders, card cancellations, beneficiary payments, and more can also be managed from the app.
Nedbank customers who download the app will be required to register with either their online banking or credit card details, after which they can activate Touch ID or PIN logins.
