FNB Smart Device offers – more to come
FNB is changing the banking landscape with its migration from a traditional bank to a company which offers its clients discounted smart devices and connectivity with its banking services.
Kartik Mistry, head of FNB’s Smart Devices unit, said that they are enhancing their clients’ lifestyles with products and services which are in demand. This move proved to be very successful.
Over the last two years, FNB has sold over 200,000 smart devices, with current sales exceeding 10,000 devices per month.
Mistry said that FNB is seeing strong sales on Apple and Android devices, and expects strong demand for their Windows Phone devices following the launch of FNB’s Windows Phone app.
The top selling smartphone and tablet is currently the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab3 10.1 respectively, but this can change quickly.
Mistry said that new high-end device launches typically translates into strong sales, which is expected for the new iPhone and iPad.
This is just the beginning
Good news for FNB clients is that the bank is expanding its range of products and services.
Mistry said that they are in discussions to offer the newly launched Google Nexus 5 to its clients, and will also offer the PS4 and Xbox One when it becomes available in South Africa.
He added that they are looking to provide their clients with a full suite of entertainment products.
FNB is already offering discounted and free ADSL products, and is in discussions with the mobile operators about expanding its telecoms offerings.
Mistry said that they are also working hard to provide an even better online shopping experience to their clients, which includes faster delivery times.
He added that consumers can also continue to expect great, high-end products with aggressive prices from FNB.
