Huge Black Friday fibre deals in South Africa

Black Friday 2023 is in full swing.

Not to be outdone by South Africa’s retailers, Internet service providers and fibre network operators have launched great deals on fibre broadband services.

Many of South Africa’s major fibre network operators have launched specials, including Metrofibre, Octotel, Openserve, and Vumatel. Vodacom and Link Africa have also joined in with fibre offers.

Internet service providers like RSAWEB, Telkom, and Mind the Speed are also offering Black Friday deals across various fibre network operators.

The deals offered by South Africa’s FNOs and ISPs range from discounts for the first few months of a package, to getting the first month or first three months free.

Below are the best fibre broadband deals on offer in South Africa for Black Friday 2023.


RSAWEB — Octotel, Vumatel, and Openserve deals

RSAWEB is offering deals on three different fibre network operators:

  • Octotel — R99 p/m for up to two months, lower monthly prices
  • Vumatel — Half-price starting from R297.50 p/m, lower monthly prices
  • Openserve — Half-price starting from R147.50 p/m for two months


Telkom Business Fusion — R880 p/m × 12 months

MetroFibre business Internet from R2,499 p/m × 36 months

Customers who sign up for a Business Internet Access package on the MetroFibre network on a 24- or 36-month contract and save up to 40%.

  • 200Mbps symmetric — R4,0099 p/m × 36 months
  • 500Mbps symmetric — R6,399 p/m × 36 months

Telkom Core Fibre — 75/50Mbps for R719 p/m × 12 months

Telkom Core Fibre are products that run over Openserve Fibre Network, and they provide access and uncapped internet data. There is no FUP and no throttling.

A 40/20Mbps option is also available for R517 per month for 12 months.

Month-to-month options are also available, but contracts include the cost of a router and installation.
