Neotel launches new broadband service, cuts prices

Neotel is set to launch new high-speed wireless broadband services at rates of up to 45% lower than current prices.
“Neotel is delighted to announce a technology agnostic wireless broadband service that gives a similar experience regardless of the wireless technology being used, such as LTE or WiMax,” said Sunil Joshi, CEO of Neotel.
“Neotel also took this opportunity to reduce the prices for wireless broadband and make it more affordable for South African business and customers,” he added.
Neotel said that the enhanced NeoBroadband Wireless services will be available from 10 November 2014 and “will offer a consistent user experience”.
The service offers unshaped, uncapped bandwidth at speeds ranging from 1Mbps to 10Mbps at “affordable rates”. A 2Mbps uncapped service, for example, will cost R699 per month.
“ADSL will eventually only be seen on the History Channel because what is now available is a real choice from Neotel – a consistently great Internet user experience,” said Joshi.
