Cell C has reached speeds of up to 138Mbps on a live LTE-Advanced site during a demonstration at AfricaCom.
“Cell C has this technology available and the capability to make this a commercial reality. We have demonstrated the possibilities at the AfricaCom Conference,” said Cell C.
“All we need now is the spectrum to become available.”
Cell C and Huawei held the test using a LampSite indoor coverage solution.
“The solution also uses Carrier Aggregation, which accounts for the top speeds that Cell C accomplished on this live site. This technology allows two different frequency bands to be joined together for faster downlinks.”
