More Gauteng estates getting fibre-to-the-home

Fibre internet network

Metrofibre Networx has won the contract to install fibre in the Beaulieu, Heathcliff, and Blue Hills estates.

The fibre-to-the-home services will be installed from the end of February, with the completion date set for April 2016.

“The some 600+ residents in the area will be able to select from a combination of both trenched fibre as well as aerial installations,” said the company.

Fibre sales during the project phase will be handled by Kiklo FTTH, after which the site will become an open-access network.

“Residents can then place orders with a list of approved Metrofibre ISPs, as well as with Metrofibre directly.”
