Telkom’s latest fibre-to-the-home and ADSL numbers

Telkom has released a trading and operational update for the third quarter ended 31 December 2015, which shows that the number of its ADSL subscribers increased 3% to 1,018,107.

The company also revealed that it has passed 1,250,000 homes through fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC). It has also passed 56,000 homes with its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services (number of homes which can access fibre services).

Telkom grew its number of LTE sites by 9% to approximately 1,400, and grew active mobile subscribers by 22% to 2,565,793.

“We prioritized our capital expenditure programme to focus on the growth areas of fibre and LTE,” said Telkom.
