How South Africans connect to the Internet at home

ICASA’s state of the ICT sector in South Africa report shows that most South Africans use mobile broadband to access the Internet at home.

ICASA used data from secondary sources like Statistics South Africa and information aggregated from three questionnaires it sent out to compile the report.

According to the report, 76% of South Africans use mobile broadband to access the Internet at home, while 22% used fixed-broadband connections.

The chart below shows Internet access services used as a percentage of households with at least one member using the Internet.
