Capped beating Uncapped in South Africa

MyBroadband recently conducted its 2017 Tech Survey, which revealed that most residential broadband users have capped accounts.

The 2017 Tech Survey was completed by over 3,000 South African IT professionals and tech-savvy consumers.

The most popular connectivity medium was ADSL, followed by mobile broadband and wireless Internet services providers (WISPs).

The most common speed was 4Mbps, which is no surprise considering that most homes have ADSL.

According to the survey results, 54% of home broadband users have capped accounts, with 46% using uncapped services.

The most popular capped accounts are between 100GB and 500GB in size, with almost no users subscribing to accounts over 1TB.

A summary of the 2017 Tech Survey results relating to residential broadband connections is provided below.
