NeoConnect pricing details

Neotel today launched its long awaited consumer services, called Neotel NeoConnect. All the NeoConnect services are built on the CDMA2000 EVDO technology, promising peak speeds of 2.4Mbps.

Neotel expects an average user experience to range between 300 and 700Kbps, but said that future upgrades should see faster speeds brought to the market.

The NeoConnect service offerings were developed after conducting in-depth consumer research, the company said.

"We picked up a number of pain points for consumers during this research process, including the issues relating to the perceived speed and capacities for Internet access, lack of voice quality and reliability, the complexity associated with obtaining and setting up services and a lack of true value for the customer," said Ajay Pandey MD and CEO at Neotel.

"We believe that we have addressed these points in the design of our offering to consumers."

The company’s NeoConnect consumer offering comes in various flavours, including NeoConnect Prime and NeoConnect Lite.

Neotel said that a simple pricing model is core to all its consumer offerings, and the quoted prices are inclusive of all monthly fees such as device charges and service rentals, as well as VAT.

The only charges that consumers will have to pay in addition to the monthly fee will be the out-of-bundle usage charges. All data packages carry an out-of-bundle usage charge of 8c per megabyte.
