Vodacom to continue 12GB, 24GB promotions

Vodacom has backtracked on its plan to discontinue its “pay-once data bundles” which were set to expire today (6 December 2012).

In October, Vodacom reduced the price of its “pay-once data bundles” to R999 for 1GB of data every 30 days for a year, and R1,499 for 2GB of data every 30 days for a year.

“With our new Pre-paid Pay-Once data bundles, you can forget the hassle of having to buy data bundles every month. You get data allocated to you automatically every 30 days for a year after paying upfront,” Vodacom said at the time.

Vodacom confirmed earlier this week that its pay once 12×1 and 12×2 prepaid data promotion will end on 06 December, but the company has now informed MyBroadband that the promotion will be available until 6 February 2013.

Cell C continues to offer consumers 2GB per month for 12 months for a prepaid price of R1,299 and 1GB per month for 12 months for R999.
