Vodacom has announced that it will extend its current contract, top up and pre-paid data promotions to 6 September 2013. This promotion was initially set to expire on 6 July 2013.
This news follows an announcement by MTN that it will extend its “Big Data Sale”, which offers large discounts on mobile data products, to 30 September 2013.
In March 2013 Vodacom reduced its MyMeg 500, MyGig 1, MyGig 2, and MyGig 3 broadband standard contract prices. It followed this with similar price cuts to its 5GB and 10GB broadband standard data contracts in April.
Vodacom’s broadband standard contract promotional pricing is as follows (SIM-only):
- MyMeg 500 – R39 per month
- MyGig 1 – R69 per month
- MyGig 2 – R99 per month
- MyGig 3 – R169 per month
- MyGig 5 – R259 per month
- MyGig 10 – R499 per month
Vodacom’s pre-paid data promotion prices are as follows:
- MyMeg 30 – R12
- MyMeg 100 – R29
- MyMeg 250 – R59
- MyMeg 500 – R99
- MyGig 1 – R149
- MyGig 2 – R249
- MyGig 3 – R299
- MyGig 5 – R399
- MyGig 20 – R499
