Ookla’s Net Index website shows that the affluent suburbs of Rivonia, Bryanston, and Sandton are the South African suburbs with the highest average broadband speeds.
The Net Index website, which uses data from millions of recent test results from Speedtest.net, shows that the average download speed in South Africa is 4.5Mbps.
South Africa’s average broadband speed is significantly lower than the global average of 16.7Mbps.
