DStv Now bugs being squashed: MultiChoice
MultiChoice recently launched the DStv Now mobile application for Android and iOS devices, offering various online video viewing features to DStv Premium subscribers.
The online video features of the app include the ability to live stream channels to your mobile device, and download DStv Catch Up (and Catch Up Plus) content – such as recently aired movies and series.
However, a number of users of both the Android and iOS applications have complained that it is not working as intended.
Among the issues raised is that live streams of certain channels don’t work, and that Catch Up content doesn’t download properly.
Asked about the bugs, DStv Digital Media said that it is aware that some of its customers have had trouble with accessing some of the content.
“With the launch of a brand new product, technical issues can sometimes crop up,” a spokesperson for DStv Digital Media said.
“Our engineers are working hard to resolve the issues that have been reported to us,” said the spokesperson, adding that a number of these reported issues had already been solved.
DStv encouraged subscribers to report any issue by sending an email to [email protected].
Questioned about specific bugs and estimated times to fix the issues, DStv said that it discovered a licence delivery issue with the service and resolved it yesterday (Monday, 1 December 2014).
“This fix resolved many of the issues that have been reported to us over the past few days,” DStv said. “We are working on usability issues currently and will continue to enhance and improve the application.”
