SABC gets new CFO

Chartered accountant James Aguma has been appointed the SABC’s new chief financial officer, it was announced on Monday.
Aguma was previously in charge of strategy and audit matters for the public broadcaster.
SABC chief operations officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng congratulated Aguma on his appointment.
“He has been acting CFO since March 2014 and during this time he has implemented changes which have already provided positive results,” Motsoeneng said.
“We believe with this appointment there will be continuity as we further stabilise and bring in more revenue for the organisation, having posted a profit of R651 million in 2013/14,” he said.
