Altech Node gets Warner Bros. movies

The Altech Node’s transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) service now has access to movies from Warner Bros., Vubiquity and Altron announced on 8 June.

Vubiquity, which provides an outsourced TVOD and subscription VOD (SVOD) service to the Altech Node, recently inked the deal with Warner Bros.

It also provides the Node with content from other major film studios, including Disney, Fox, NBC Universal, Sony, Lionsgate, MGM, Starz, and Miramax.

TVOD refers to buying or renting content on-demand on a per-title basis, whereas SVOD services provide access to a library of content for a fixed subscription fee.

Some of the new releases that will be coming to Node for the forthcoming season include: American Sniper, Jupiter Ascending, Fifty Shades of Grey, Peaky Blinders, Chappie, Home Inherent Vice, and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

“Warner Bros. have brought us classic titles such as The Dark Knight, the Harry Potter film series, Inception, and Gravity,” said Marius Marais, managing director of Altech Node. “Our new Warner Bros. content agreement will bring outstanding entertainment within the reach of every home.”
