Media24’s new DStv channel launches today
Media24 in October announced that they would be launching a new Afrikaans channel on DStv.
The lifestyle channel named, VIA, will officially go live today at 16:00 on DStv channel 147.
This 24-hour lifestyle channel is the media company’s first venture in to TV.
“We are extremely excited to launch VIA and we’re proud that we can treat our Afrikaans audiences to a brand-new Afrikaans channel,” says Esmaré Weideman, Chief Executive Officer of Media24.
Here’s a first look at what you can expect to see on VIA tonight:
16:00 Padkos

17:00 Styl Stryd
Two contestants with dreams of seeing their decor talents in TUIS magazine duel it out. With a decor blogger alongside, they will decorate an empty shell to a set challenge.
17:30 Inspirasiekos Met Sarie
The talented SARIE food editor, Herman Lensing, is on the lookout for South Africa’s best ingredients. He meets the passionate personalities behind the scenes – and whips up a feast to their delight!
18:00 Brood en Botter
Six teams pitch a business to make it big. After weekly entrepreneurial challenges, the winning team will become part of Spice Routes in Paarl’s exclusive collection of businesses.
