VU video streaming – rebadged MTN FrontRow with cheaper prices
MTN FrontRow has changed its name to VU.
The URL of the website has also moved from Discover Digital’s domain to whattovu.com.
The rebranding includes promotional pricing for its subscription video on demand service to match the R99 p/m ShowMax offer.
The VU website states that the promotion runs from 30 September 2015 to 31 January 2016, after which pricing will revert to the normal subscription fee.
The subscription for MTN FrontRow Club (now MaxVU) was reduced in August to R119 per month, from R179 per month.
Data consumed while watching VU is still zero-rated on the MTN network, and MTN Sky subscribers get free access to VU.
