Netflix will show new Top Gear

Netflix has obtained the rights to offer the new BBC Top Gear season, starring Chris Evans, to its subscribers.

In February, the BBC revealed the new Top Gear crew who will present the show when it returns in May.

The new crew includes Evans, Matt LeBlanc, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris, Eddie Jordan, Rory Reid, and The Stig.

The new presenters will replace Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, who have signed a deal for a car show on Amazon.

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos could not say whether the show will air in all countries where Netflix has a presence, like South Africa.

“We can only control worldwide on things that we can control outright, or things that we take on very early in their life,” Sarandos told BuzzFeed.
