Netflix develops video quality measuring tool
Netflix has developed a tool that measures video quality by gauging visual information fidelity, detail loss, and the effect of motion.
According to a report by Engadget, the tool gives a “real life” result that is more than the technical details of a video stream.
This will allow viewers to see which videos will be more appealing to the eye, regardless of whether they are animated or live-action.
Netflix has released the tool on GitHub as open source code for other companies to use.
