DStv special offer here until April
MultiChoice cut the price of their standard DSD1131 decoder package (which includes the dish and installation) to R599 just in time for the festive season last year.
It was recently reported that MultiChoice would be ending the special soon with the only indication of how long the promotion would still run being “while stocks last.”
According to MultiChoice there is still stock available in some furniture and retail stores and they have also distributed stock to retail stores and MultiChoice branches. These stores include Game, House & Home, Hi-fi Corporation and Pick & Pay.
MultiChoice pointed out that Makro offers the same special at the price of R499.
Stock of the promotion is expected to last until April, MultiChoice said.
Asked whether the ending of the promotion means that Top TV’s installation deals aren’t considered significant competition to DStv, MultiChoice said that their focus is on growing their business and offering their customers more value and choice.
“This means that we do give special offers on our decoders and other services from time-to-time,” MultiChoice said. “For example, we are currently offering DStv Mobile to our subscribers free of charge.”
