Netflix said it expects to reach the 100-million subscriber mark this coming weekend, after announcing that its customer base had reached 98.75 million in 2017.
Netflix made the announcement as part of its Q1 2017 financial results presentation.
“We remain incredibly excited about the opportunity in front of us to build a truly global and durable Internet TV business,” said Netflix.
The company said it added 5 million members in the quarter, and passed the $2.5-billion mark in quarterly revenue.
“The opportunity provided to us by the growth of the global Internet is gigantic and our plan is to keep investing as we increase membership, revenue, and operating margins.”
