South Africans with Netflix love watching action shows, said Yenia Zaba – the company’s media relations manager for EMEA.
This includes Star Trek: Discovery, which Netflix said is an example of a show it can offer in South Africa, but not the United States.
Narcos is also very popular in South Africa, and Netflix said it is looking for shows like Narcos in the country.
“There are great stories to be told here. It’s just the question of finding the right story,” said Netflix.
