Amazon’s Prime Video drew in over 5 million people globally, Reuters reported, citing company documents.
It added that Amazon’s audience in the United States was about 26 million subscribers.
Quoting sources, the report stated that investment in Amazon Prime has grown to $5 billion per year.
The documents showed that Amazon’s drama “The Man in the High Castle” had 8 million viewers in the United States at the start of 2017 and cost $72 million in production and marketing.
It attracted 1.15 million new subscribers worldwide, according to Amazon’s numbers, and drew new Prime members at an average of $63 per subscriber.
In the US, subscribers pay $99 per year for Prime. In South Africa, a Prime Video membership is $2.99 for six months, and $5.99 thereafter.
