DStv Mobile Driftas get Mac OS X app

MultiChoice announced today (21 November 2011) that DStv Mobile’s Drifta and Drifta USB mobile TV receivers now support Mac OS X.

DStv Mobile has three channel bouquets to choose from:

• e.mobile [Free] – E! Entertainment, Channel O, SuperSport Blitz, The eNews Channel, CNNi.
• DStv Mobile [R36 per month] – SuperSport 1,2,3,4, AfricaMagic, M-Net Series, SONYMax, Cartoon Network, Discovery plus all channels in the e.mobile package.
• DStv Mobile for Premium subscribers [Free to Premium subscribers] – all channels in the DStv Mobile package plus M-Net Mobile.

To use a Drifta or Drifta USB with an Apple Mac computer, DStv Mobile said that the minimum system requirements are an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM, 100MB disk space, and Mac OS X 10.6.8.

The Drifta Decoder application is available on the Mac App Store and DStv Mobile provided the following instructions to install it:

1. Launch the app store from you Mac.
2. Search for DStv Mobile decoder in the search field.
3. Click on the free/install button once the app is found.
4. The application will now be installed on your computer.
