DStv Mobile gets new CEO
Mark Rayner, General Manager of DStv Mobile in South Africa, will take over as CEO of the mobile broadcaster at the end of February 2012.
The current CEO of DStv Mobile, Francois Theron, will move to MWEB after its group CEO, Rudi Jansen, steps down next month.
Rayner holds a BCom CA, economics, accountancy from Rhodes University and was admitted as a chartered accountant in 2002 after serving his articles at KPMG.
He held various positions in the Bidvest Group, which included the post of Group Financial Controller of Bidcorp PLC, an LSE listed transport group; and Finance Director of Dartline Limited, a short haul shipping line.
Rayner joined MultiChoice as CFO of DStv Mobile South Africa in 2007 and was later promoted to General Manager in October 2008.
