DStv BoxOffice, Catch Up coming to tablets, smartphones
MultiChoice has reiterated during its recent financial results presentation that they are developing platforms and applications to bring its DStv BoxOffice and Catch Up services to smartphones on tablets.
MultiChoice currently offers its DStv Catch Up service for its Premium customers via the iPad app. PC users have access to DStv’s BoxOffice and Catch Up services.
Eben Greyling, Chief Executive Officer of Pay-TV Platforms at Naspers, said that they are working on solutions to offer its BoxOffice and Catch Up products to mobile users on Android and iOS devices.
This means that users will be able to stream and download DStv content and movies using their smartphone or tablet.
MultiChoice said that while they are working on these services, there are no firm release dates as yet.
