OpenView HD goes on sale

E-tv sister company Platco Digital announced at an event in Johannesburg on Thursday, 10 October 2013 that its subscription-free satellite TV service, OpenView HD, has launched.
Maxwell Nonge, head of Platco Digital, revealed that decoders have gone on sale at a number of retailers, including Pick & Pay, Hirsch’s, Extreme Discounters, and OK.
From Friday, OpenView HD will be available from Hi-Fi Corporation and Massmart stores such as Dion Wired and Makro, Nonge said.
OpenView HD decoders from Ellies have a recommended retails price of R999. With dish & installation prices range between R1,499 and R1,699.
Space TV has also told MyBroadband that they will offer decoders at a recommended retail price of R999. With dish & installation it is set to cost R1,599.
