StarSat, the satellite pay TV service formerly known as TopTV and operated by On Digital Media (ODM), announced 10 new channels to its lineup in a press statement on Monday, 25 November 2013.
All subscribers will be able to watch the new channels until 31 December 2013, which is when StarSat said it will introduce its new packages.
“Customers will then have the option of upgrading to a new package to continue watching,” StarSat said.
Included among the new channels are: Nat Geo Gold (a documentary channel), Star Novela E1 and E2, Star Bollywood, and Star Kung-fu 1.
StarSat said that it hopes to have over 100 channels on air by 1 January 2014.
*Update: StarSat has issued a correction on its earlier press release. Existing subscribers will have access to the new channels until the end of December 2013.
