Kuben Pillay and Larry Nestadt have been appointed to the board of Cell C.
Pillay will replace Mohammed Hariri has non-executive chairman of Cell C, while Nestadt will serve as non-executive deputy chairman.
The appointments follow the recent recapitalisation of Cell C, where Blue Label Telecoms acquired 45% of the company’s share capital and Net1 acquired 15%.
Pillay previously served on the boards of several companies, including Primedia and the Mineworkers Investment Company.
Pillay is an attorney by trade and currently serves on the boards of Transaction Capital Limited and the Outsurance group of companies.
Nestadt is the cofounder and former director of Investec Bank Limited, and is the chairman of, among other companies, Blue Label Telecoms Limited, Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited, and Universal Partners Limited.
