Makro Pick-up locker launch date announced
Makro will launch its click-and-collect locker service, Makro Pick-up, on 26 June 2015.
Some of the first locker sites to come online will be at Fourways Crossing and the Sasol on the corner of 12th and Rivonia Road in Sandton.
Makro first announced its locker service in November 2014, with head of e-commerce Paul van de Waal giving MyBroadband insight into how Makro’s Pick-up locker system would work.
Van de Waal said the plan is to give customers two days to collect their items, sending out regular SMS reminders once their orders have arrived.
If you don’t collect in that time, your order will be returned to the nearest Makro store where you will be able to collect it.
Van de Waal said the locker roll-out will start later than originally intended, in part because their partner, UTI, chose to have the lockers manufactured locally.
