iBurst sale to Multisource gets green light

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) has approved the deal between Multisource and Wireless Business Solutions (WBS).
Multisource, a convergence technology company, expects to acquire 100% of WBS – which operates iBurst.
Icasa confirmed the deal was given the green light on 30 October 2015. The acquisition may go through as early as next week.
News of a potential sale of WBS emerged in September 2014, when the company said it was looking at three different bids.
It was later confirmed that Multisource was the winning bidder.
Multisource’s shareholders include Paul Harris, Phumlani Moholi, Michael Jordaan, and Brandon Leigh.
