The degrees of super-rich South African tech entrepreneurs

Some of the richest people in the world are technology entrepreneurs, like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Larry Page, and Sergei Brin.

While the Google founders Page and Brin and Amazon founder Bezos are well qualified, others like Gates and Zuckerberg dropped out of university to grow their businesses.

South Africa has also produced some excellent technology entrepreneurs, like EOH founder Asher Bohbot, BCX CEO Isaac Mophatlane, and Internet Solutions founder Ronnie Apteker.

MyBroadband looked at the qualifications of some of South Africa’s top technology entrepreneurs to see if there was a trend.

What we found is that most successful technology entrepreneurs holds a university degree, the type of degree is varied.
