Mark Zuckerberg to give away 99% of his Facebook shares

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that he will give away 99% of his Facebook shares to make the world a better place.
Zuckerberg said in an open letter to his newborn daughter Max that as she begins the next generation of the Chan-Zuckerberg family, they also began the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.
This initiative is aimed at “joining people across the world to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation”.
“Our initial areas of focus will be personalised learning, curing disease, connecting people, and building strong communities,” said Zuckerberg.
He said will give 99% of their Facebook shares – currently worth about $45 billion – during their lives to advance this mission.
Zuckerberg said they will share more details in the coming months.
