How Amazon’s Prime Air will work

Amazon’s Paul Misener recently shed some light on the company’s Prime Air delivery drones in an interview with Yahoo.

Misener said that Amazon Prime Air can be seen as a future delivery service that will get packages to customers within 30 minutes of them ordering them online at Amazon.com.

He said one of their goals with the Prime Air delivery drones is that their range has to be over 10 miles.

“These things will weigh about 25kg each, but they’ll be able to deliver parcels that weigh up to 2.3kg,” said Misener.

He said most of the orders from Amazon weigh less than 2.3kg, which makes the drone delivery an option for most packages.

Misener said the drones can deliver the package anywhere in the customer’s yard.
