Altech Autopage MD resigns

Altech Autopage MD Boyd Chislett will leave the company at the end of March 2016, according to a report by TechCentral.

Chislett is resigning from Autopage following the decision to sell its subscriber base to MTN, Cell C, and Vodacom for R1.46bn.

The sale of the subscriber base was initially approved without conditions by the Competition Commission, but was referred back to the Commission following concerns raised by a company called Saicon Holdings

A hearing with the Competition Tribunal is now planned for 9 February.

Chislett said after he steps down, he “intends taking a break for a few months while exploring new opportunities in the information and communications technology sector”.
