Foxconn to build self-driving car facility

Foxconn plans to build a new facility aimed at the research and development of self-driving cars, TechSpot reports.

The facility will open in the United States and could reportedly cost as much as $20 billion to build.

Foxconn founder Terry Gou said the company chose to open the facility in the US as its automotive development remains more advanced than China’s.

The facility will focus on self-driving vehicle technologies in addition to deep learning and artificial intelligence research.
